AMD目前已經停止Athlon XP的供應並正在把它們從零售店撤回
在臺灣,已經購買Athlon XP處理器的人真是"幸運"，因為當地分銷商正在從零售商手中撤回未開包的Athlon XP處理器，並說AMD未能提供新的CPU給市場.原因至今不祥。美國的AMD否認這事件,表示將會發表正式聲明....

Taipei, Taiwan - According to our Taiwanese correspondent, those who have bought the new Athlon XP are in luck as the Taiwanese distributor are asking retailers to return their unsold Athlon XP to the distributor and new stocks are not available to replenish the hot market. The distributor told the retailers that AMD is recalling the CPUs. Why is AMD stopping the distributor to distribute to the retailers remains a mystrey..

Update : AMD US responded to a number of queries and said that AMD has not recalled any AMD Athlon XP processors. We continue to ramp shipments of the world's highest-performance processor for desktop PCs.”

我才剛想買AthlonXP.就出現這樣的事情.....

我才剛想買AthlonXP.就出現這樣的事情.....

We have contacted AMD Taiwan and it is confirmed that there are no problems with the AMD AthlonXP processors. The "recall" in Taiwan was due to a wrong delivery by the courier services.

AMD US said that "AMD has not recalled any AMD Athlon XP processors. We continue to ramp shipments of the world's highest-performance processor for desktop PCs."

但好像台灣AMD好像有反應：說AMD AthlonXP processors沒有問題...回收的事....就....

AMD表面上雖然否認此事
但代理商方面確實有這樣的動作!(回收處理器)
然而事實上原本不支援雙處理器功能的Athlon XP卻能夠有雙處理器支援的能力
這的確是擺了一個大烏龍!
目前除了弟個人作過這樣的實驗並公佈出來之外
尚未看到日本玩家有反應這個現象

另外更大膽假設一點
目前台灣所能取得之Athlon XP處理器的Lot/No.皆為Y字開頭
而日本方面皆為9或F開頭
這是否意味著支援雙處理器的差異呢?
目前也僅能以猜測的方式看待了....

還是買Athlon MP好點兒吧.....

題外話:這顆機絲我最高只能超到1.47g再上去一直當.....不知啥原因?

MP的型號是6-6-1
XP的型號是6-6-2
是名稱顯示的問題,如同新賽楊會顯示Xeon一樣.
