For the replacement of your drive with Maxtor please follow the simple 4 Step procedure detailed below:
Step 1: To avoid any damage to your Harddisk Drive (HDD), pack it in an anti-static bag securely packaged in a padded box.
------ To do this you must first remove your HDD from your PC and detach all cables, brackets, faceplates, etc.
Step 2: Make sure to include the Invoice (attached to this email) in the box along with your HDD.

Step 3: Put the following address on the outside of the box:

Step 4: Ship the drive back to Maxtor:

Maxtor recommends you use a traceable carrier, i.e. TNT, DHL, UPS, FedEX, etc. as they can provide proof of delivery.
This allows you to trace your HDD, and ensures it is not misplaced enroute.
Registered Post: You may also use registered post.
If you do make sure to register and insure the package.
Please note Maxtor cannot be held responsible for drives lost or damaged in transit to us.
Invoice (attachment to the email).
The customer must use this form to return his/her drive.
Your replacement drive will be shipped to you at our cost. However, you must pay to ship your faulty drive to Maxtor.
Please note that you do not need to pay any invoice sent out with your replacement drive.
It is for customs purposes only.
For insurance and legal reasons it is not possible to change the value shown on the invoice.
However, the invoice states clearly, that the contents of the shipment are In Warranty Replacement hard drives.

The warranty period for your replacement drive is either
a. The warranty-end-date of your original drive or
b. or 90 days if the remainder of your original warranty is less than 90 days.
Replacement Policy:

Your drive will be replaced with the same model wherever possible.
If this is not possible, your drive will be replaced with a comparable model.
Quality Standards:
------------------
Your drive is being replaced with a re-certified drive.
This drive has passed the same quality standards as our New Build Drives.
DOA are replaced with factory New Build drives.
If your hard drive was purchased from a Maxtor authorised distributer and fails within 30 days from this purchase date, then your hard drive is DOA.
