Know-How是什麼意思啊？

常常在一些網站看到know-how這個名詞，它到底是什麼意思啊？？？

我是翻成「知識」
DOMAIN KNOW HOW就是領域知識

Know=知道
How=怎樣做
Know How=知道怎樣做≒知識

知識用knowledge會較貼切
know how 也不是知道如何..
know how 是創意的片語形式之一..
相當於think out of the box 或是 creatively的意思..
DOMAIN KNOW HOW的確是知識領域..但是單獨know how最言簡意明就是創意

know是知識的簡述字,暗喻著"了解",而how是如何
結合在一起就是knowledge of how to do something smoothly and efficiently
意思就是如何讓作事順利又有效率的知識

Know How 通常指的是關鍵技術,用台語講就是"撇步"

1.由於討論的對象是個[b]名詞片語[/b]，所以不太適合以動詞片語或副詞比喻之；
2.在一些報導產業概況的雜誌中，或是公司主管的精神講話中也常看到此一詞的出現；
ex：
「雖然員工的海外訓練支出，佔了成本一定的比重，但長遠來看，其所帶回的Know How，將可大大提昇公司在這產業的競爭力。」
「這一行雖然競爭激烈，但，在座的每一位都有機會實現成功，並且都有機會成為傑出領導者，
只要你們不怕吃苦，只要你們學得所需的一切Know How。」

3.本來是在高科技相關的文章中才看到這一詞，指「關鍵技術」，後來各行各
業也開始泛用，不論是管理方法、生產技術、資源分配...等等，因為這詞真的
蠻好用的，我想這一詞已經成為「做事方法」的通稱了；

4.最簡單的，上Kimo或Google，搜尋"Know How"。相信所得到的那些網頁連結中，
看到的都是「教你如何OO」、「怎樣才能XX」之類的，倒是沒看到有強調創意的:confused: 。

我覺得用英語解釋一堆，不如用台語來的貼切

下面是某年JCEE模考閱讀測驗
After the Sep. 11 aerial assaults on the Pentagon and World Trade Center that left at least 5,000 proplr dead. a special project brought together directors and screenwriters to help the U.S Army dream up possible terrorist threats and how to handle them. Among the participants were Steven E. De Souza(Die hard),David engelbach(MacGyver),etc. They met via teleconference with some big shots at the Pentagon to brainstorm possible terror events and solutions. The counter-terrorism brainstorming sessions recently became the focus of the institute for Creative Technologies. Institute officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, declined to describe any producers, that's one of the things they're paid to do eery day - speculate. They are very brilliant, creative people. They can come up with fascination insights very quickly. The ICT has been working with the Army to develop simulation traning systems for the military. The Pentagon is teaming up with Hollywood because the entertainment group can think more creative - they have the know-how just like terrorist. "They think outside the box",said one Institute official.

第二題答案是3..有問題去找教育部吧..

　　很多字詞的解釋其實是要看前後文（in context），在這裡的解釋也許 think more creatively 是合理的，但是在其他地方卻不太合適。generally-accepted 的意思還是如同以上眾人所說的。

Know How 是關鍵技術 已經有不少仁兄解答了
我之前是怎麼知道這個字義呢 竟然是小學五年級的姪女當面教我的
虧我還是大學畢業 曾經是英文小老師 唉 好漏氣喔

文字一直在演變, 實在也很難說到底那個對哪個錯:D
這實在不必太在意啦:)

Merriam-Webster 字典上面的記載翻譯成中文是這樣的:
know-how , 名詞, 有關於如何有效率並且流暢的去做某件事情的知識.
同義字: expertise , 名詞, 1. 專家的見解或評論 2.專家的技術

業界有沒有重新賦予新的意義, 這可能要請問專家來解答吧!
小弟不知道.

每個人的看法都不同 我也常遇到一些英翻中的問題
就像我們公司不能寫「繁體中文」而是要寫 「正體中文」
有時是規定 有時是約定 所以選個自已能接受的用吧

小弟是做化工類的,know how對我們來說,泛指配方'製造技術等等別人所不知道的東西,
我也覺得用台語"撇步"來解釋最為貼切啊!!
