是50-100m或500-1000m :confused: :confused: ....如果是50-100m,DT裝個能外接天線的PCI無線網卡就得了(說不定用網卡附的天線就行了,連天線都不用換 :D ),要是500-1000m,除了要考慮會不會被擋到,光天線所須的$$(除非您會DIY)可能都能讓您自己拉條XDSL用上幾個月了 :D :D ....

嗚嗚…阿,大都會、都市…真好…鄰近學校區,都有免費的網路可以用,先前在學校附近,都還可以收到512kb/s以上,這樣子一年真的可以省下微數可觀的網路費,現在在家附近沒有Hot Point,好可惜∼∼為了省錢就改了亞太的Cable還去借了學生証∼∼就是為了NT:399/Month,好可惜!阿∼∼無緣「大葉大學」還是離我太遠了∼∼∼可惜∼∼∼可惜∼∼∼∼

「一般」?當然收不到!我是用指向性的天線15dB大天線+AP client Mode,天線是貴了點,但長久下來真的省了不少錢,但就是會有防火牆等一堆的問題,就是一般可以免費上網已是超值,先前我在目視1~2Km以上都沒問題,因為學校瑞也是用大dB數的全向天線,我這一瑞給它對準,連線速度應付寬頻上網是措措有餘!

一般來說,這樣子架到好,我以前買是滿貴的,現在五、六千因該是要,當然還要看你買的是那些東東,如果買一般人家已作好的戶外用的AP當然更貴!但這不是重點,重點是你所在的地點四周是不是有「沒加碼」的Hot Point點,如果有加碼,那收的到也是無三小路用。如果有的可!這種投資,個人我是覺得非常值得的,但像我現在,別說有沒有加碼了,我們這種鄉下地方,Hot Point點可以說是「零」。

不過有句話說"免錢的最貴",除非您只是上上網而不會做有安全顧慮的事,這種便車還是別亂搭的好----因為您根本無從得知另一端AP後面有些什麼,或許是別人拿來釣魚的餌 :D :D ....BTW,鵝貼一下鵝家這邊在室內用3dbi rod antenna能suvey到啥給大家欣賞欣賞好了,不過為了安全起見,ESSID及鵝自用的部份鵝先拿掉了.....

這一點都不好,鵝要連自己的AP還得另闢蹊徑才不會連錯 :D :D ....BTW,如果只是為了省錢的話不如找人拉條最便宜的XDSL share就好了,像鵝現在就是跟鄰居share 256/64的XDSL,每月只要NT$150 :D :D ....

前面提的9個AP堶惘4個是某單位跑WDS的,應該算一個,不過該單位似乎對access control不是很在乎(沒設MAC filter或加密,更別說802.1x等等了 :D ),還好鵝不算別有居心者,不然有人就要倒霉了 :D .....BTW,剛把天線移到窗外,又多找到一些AP,有些連default的ESSID都沒改(尤其是向CHT租XDSL+AP者10個有9個如此 :D )....BTW,只要traffic夠多要解WEP也沒一般人想像中的難就是了 :D :D .....

鵝只是在Linux裝好Wireless NIC後下iwlist就能看到那堆東東了 :D :D ....至於要解WEP除了要有AP(ex Aircrack等),Wireless NIC(含HW/driver)還得support RF monitor才行,在Linux下符合這個前提的網卡還不算難找(用ndiswrapper掛Win32 driver不能用 :D ),在M$ Win下就麻煩了,一般driver通常不會support RF monitor(要特殊版本的driver才有),就算Aircrack有Win32的binary可用也沒輒 :D ....BTW,鵝指的traffic夠多是只要能抓到數百萬個packet(不算太多,經驗值一般中型office或跑P2P的user一下午就能貢獻這麼多packet :D ),以PIII700用統計法在6秒鐘之內就能反推出WEP的key----比6分鐘護一生還誇張 :D :D ....

這倒有趣了,您是在問有沒有這種東東還是已經有這種東東,照說同一個AP出來的信號只有一個不可能因距離不同就自動加密(AP可以設成加密同時允許未加密的client連上來,但這跟距離無關---單一AP要確認client的位置/距離並非易事),會不會是您連的AP根本不是您想連的那棵 :D :D ....BTW,增益太高的天線通常可用頻寬會比較小(對展頻通訊不見得適用),波束也會比較窄(須要精確的對準,對會移動的場合也不見得適用),並不是dBI值越大越好的 :D :D ....
我在公司裡用的就是免費的外部訊號,
雖然訊號品質不是太好,只有兩格,
有時也會斷訊,但至少沒有像公司有那強大的防火牆,
連skype也都無法用........... :D
我這裡(仁愛路圓環附近)收的到 wifly 的信號
現在就是以它上網
skype 可以使用
但是通話品質不是很好 :(
msn messenger 常常會被踢出 :|||:
