弟的win98用setp-by-step confirmation
開機的時候
在load windows graphical user interface[y/n]
這個選項時選擇y
則出現
you are currently running in ms-dos mode.
do you want to return to normal modeto run windows
applications again[y/n]
選擇y
則出現
The following file is missing or corrupted

win.com
file creation error.

請問這該如何解決？
重灌win98之後問題還是存在.

弟依照您所指的網頁上面所述的方法
去做
extract /a win98_25.cab win.cnf /l c:\windows

但是重新開機後問題依舊存在
是不是弟哪裡搞錯了

其實這問題我有沒遇到過
ren c:\windows\win.cnf c:\windows\win.com
這一步你有做嗎?

還是不行的話嘛...

弟依照網頁上所述照做
先移除了舊的win.com
然後將解壓縮出來的win.cnf
改名為win.com 取代
然後開機問題依舊存在

新的訊息是
The configuration specified in your config.sys file is too
large for memory remove some drive,and then try again.

但是弟將所有的config.sys檔移至別的地方
重新開機時問題還是沒有解決
而且安全模式也沒有辦法進去了。

這...........
不過還是粉感謝您抽空為弟解答！謝謝∼

Question. I get an error something like a device specified in your Config.sys is too large for memory. Please remove some drivers and try again. How can I fix this error?

Solution. To fix this error you will need to do the following:

Boot from a startup or boot disk and type the following lines:

C:
PATH=C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND
ATTRIB C:\CONFIG.SYS -R
EDIT CONFIG.SYS

You will now be in the MS-DOS Editor and your Config.sys file will be displayed.
Add DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS to your Config.sys as the first line.
Add DEVICEHIGH=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS as the second line.
Then change the line DEVICE=SECURE98.SYS to DEVICEHIGH= SECURE98.SYS

Press ALT + F and the file menu will highlight. Choose Save. Press ALT + F then choose Exit.
Type ATTRIB C:\CONFIG.SYS +R
You can now reboot and the error should no longer appear.

雖然問題還是存在，但是『米蟲』弟由衷感謝你

檢查一下你的 c:\config.sys 中是否有一行
dos=single
有的話請去掉這行
還有順便檢查一下c:\autoexec.bat多了什麼東西
例如c:\Windows\WIN.COM /WX 這種東西
有的話也順便移除
然後請檢查一下msdos.sys
再看看BOOTGUI的值是多少，如果是=0 請改成 BOOTGUI=1
