Plextor has also announced that their PlexTools software (which is currently only shipped with European drives) will become available worldwide! The PlexTools software will also have some special and more advanced features to control your Plextor drives with. Some interesting new features include:
GigaRec: write 980 MB on a standard 700 MB CD-R (without needing any additional software, feature will only work with the PREMIUM drive).
SilentMode: for special silent performance
SecuRec: create your own password protected discs
With the new PlexTools you will also be able to do more advanced tests with your Plextor drive such as C1/C2 error tests, transfer rate tests, tracking tests and jitter tests.
