Good News！！ New Weak Sectors of SD2 2.51 can be fully Amplified by CDmate (SAM, sector amplification mode)& Blindwrite(sector enhancer), but not CloneCD.

CDmate一個多月前宣稱他們的弱磁區強化機制(SAM, sector amplification mode, see here (http://www.cd-mate.com/support/viewtopic.php?topic=598&forum=1&7) and here (http://www.cd-mate.com/support/viewtopic.php?topic=773&forum=11&0)，可讓更多的燒錄機成功備份SD2 2.51(他們舉MOHAA為首例)。最近的 Blindwrite的新版(1.2.3, here (http://www.blindwrite.com/release_enu.htm))也說他們也改善了原本的弱弱磁區強化機制(sector enhancer)。由於沒有看到後續的明顯的成功案例，加上我已擁有LiteON 24102B及32123S，也就偷懶沒去測試、並將此事一直存留在心裡(為此向大家及國產的CDmate道個歉！！)，直到下面這則消息：

mmm in the last weeks (i don't know the exact dates, but the actual versions will do it).

and yes some will be able to do it.
the only problem is that not enough people know this (that BR/BW and cdmate do it and clone cd not).

不想再試了,讀取速度慢,選項又不知如何選,燒了一片只能安裝,
不能玩,想重新讀一次,又費時!

我確實已用BlindRead/Write1.2.4.12備分出MOHAA的disc1,我是用plextor2410ta備分出來的,可在sony145e燒錄機執行通過保護的檢測,我之前用clonecd3.3.4.1拷貝出來的無法通過保護,如果嫌BlindRead讀取光碟機作映像檔太慢,可先用clonecd讀取映像檔,再用daemon載入此映像檔,此時再用BlindRead讀取daemon所模擬的虛擬光碟,此時讀取的速度就會比較快,讀取時請選選項1.Nibble及勾選適合速度,大約4,5分鐘,就可讀出BlindRead/Write的專用映像檔,讀取完成後,執行BlindWrite,當你選取好要燒錄的映像檔的下一步,將會出現CD image verification請按start鈕,它將自動幫你偵測此映像檔所需要燒錄的選項,下一步造它幫你選的,燒下去即可,但趙雲傳disc1我尚未備份成功,真的很奇怪.

把我的老Yamaha8824E(可以備份SD2 2.40以前版本)又裝回去試了一下，使用Blindwrite燒錄(4x, enhance weak sectors)富甲天下3第二片的映像檔，還是不能成功，它修正的Weak sectors數(22個)和Betablocker 2.51找到的是一樣。回去看了一下CD Freaks那篇主題(new weak sector? (http://www.cdfreaks.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43135))的回應，InSOMniA(似乎是Clony的作者)原本的說法並不正確，Blindwrite的網頁說，只有LiteON的機器才能真正能備份SD2 2.51(當然實際上還有其他像Asus 1610A等等)。CDmate因為在我的電腦上無法啟動燒錄(啟動就當住，不知是甚麼衝突。Fantom CD也是如此)，不過按CD Freaks(同上面的那篇主題)上說的，大概也好不到那裡去。所以，除非有很強的證據，大家不需再試了。遺憾讓大家空歡喜一場。

的確!其實我發現用CD MATE燒時,選擇光碟對拷方式(當然不是即時對拷),
讀取SD2.5遊戲的速度變快到10分鐘之內,不過雖然它已經能讓許多不是
特殊機的機子成功備份SD2.5的遊戲,但在我的AOPEN32X上還是無法燒成功!
所以AOPEN系的各位!不用再試了!

前陣子，在國外的論壇問clonecd作者olli，cdmate已經發展sam功能來對sd2 2.51，
問他有什麼看法，他認為這項功能跟aws沒什麼兩樣，不過該網站已經掛了，我無法
貼他原來post。

This is hardly funny as I first thought it was. Nero gets slammed because the devs are responsible enough to respond to the bugs 'out there' on a regular basis. Venom & Swenske have more than enough to say about the poor coding & development 'out there'.

Fact is that CCD does recognise the SD 2.51.021 new patterns - Olli has stated this in another forum. Girls & guys - it is device dependent; it is really up to the chipset coders to decide whether they 'do' this or not.

Any burning proggy that is fully MMC compliant will do a RAW DAO 1:1 image - what is needed is a device to match the software efforts.

Sing praises for LITEON, give Plextor time to catch up and hope that Sony (writer division) is brave enough to match it with their own Macrovision.

(另外，這篇我早也看過了，作者在SD2還不能算非常權威，至少，Martin比他強多了。Anyway，還是謝謝你。)

CD Mate 這個功能想當然爾是從 CloneCD. Fantom CD 學來的, 依據我自己的測試, CDMate 還真的要多加點油, 不是在 UI 操作上就會掛點, 不然就是製作時間過久(一個278K的檔案燒到12x的 CD-RW 上要花五分鐘).
此外 www.cd-mate.com (看起來是CD Mate 這個產品在國外的代理商) 常常在網路上傳假消息, 前一陣子還在 cdfreaks 上頭說用某某方法可以利用 cdmate 來燒錄 starforce. 也被證實是假的.且由 www.cd-mate.com 的網站論壇中討論的內容來看, 他們對燒錄知識的認知都還很淺薄, 常常說錯話. 因此, 我想...僅供參考吧..(可能是為了刺激 cdmate 的買氣吧?)
PS. 我知道批評人家網站是有點過分啦, 但是大家可以自己上去他們的 forum 上頭看看就知道他們有幾斤幾兩.

依據我的測試, 我的 Plextor 1210s 透過 CD Mate/CloneCD/Fantom CD/BlindWrite 來燒錄 MOHAA, 放到我的 TEAC 532s 上頭通通不可以玩, 但是 Liteon-2410b 燒出來的不管用哪個軟體都可以PLAY!
我現在的燒錄軟體大部分只用 NERO/Fantom CD, 其他幾乎都沒有安裝了.
