TECHNICAL INFO:
NVIDIA is promoting Quadro, Quadro2 MXR & Quadro2 Pro as professional workstation boards. But in fact these cards are equipped with GeForce256, GeForce2 MX and GeForce2 GTS graphics processors.
The only differences between Quadro and GeForce are amount of onboard videomemory, higher clock frequencies and device IDs. NVIDIA Detonator drivers use device ID to detect Quadro. Detonators use ID-based algorithm to compute internal driver capability code. OpenGL driver uses this code to select optimization strategy and disable some hardware capabilities on non-Quadro boards (e.g. hardware accelerated antialiased lines).
This patch can modify NVIDIA Detonator drivers in order to unlock Quadro specific features on non-Quadro boards. This patch can turn your GeForce into Quadro without any resistor tricks and BIOS modifications. It just forces drivers to ignore device ID and report strictly forced internal capability code regardless of detected hardware.
Capability codes are forward compatible and you can safely force Quadro2 MXR capabilities on GeForce2 GTS. I have no strict info about backward compatibility because some capability bits aren't decrypted yet. So don't try to force Quadro2 Pro capabilities on GeForce2 GTS predecessor boards or do it with caution.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Copy Detonator driver files in temporary folder (e.g. C:\QuadroDetonator)
2. Click Continue, select or type the path to the folder containing the driver files, then click Open. The patch script will be automatically executed
3. Install patched driver
