其實，該軟體運用了『SMART技術』，什麼是SMART技術？

SMART (Self Monitoring Analysisand Reporting Technology自動監視分析與報告技術)是在ATA-3標準中正式提出的一項技術，由Quantum和Compaq公司聯合開發，用於對硬盤工作狀態進行監測，可以在主板BIOS的配合下自動監測硬盤的工作狀態。

它可以監測磁頭、磁片、馬達、電路等，由硬盤的監測電路和主機上的監測軟體對被監測對象的運行情況與歷史記錄和預設的安全值進行分析、比較，當出現安全值範圍以外的情況時，能夠自動向用戶發出警告。

通過SMART技術可以對硬盤潛在故障進行有效預測，提高數據的安全性，SMART的開關狀態可以在BIOS中設置。
